QUOTE: "I'm not setting out to construct some magnificent organization like, frankly, this one is. But I also do not believe the Lord is done using my voice in the culture and speaking to parents." —James Dobson, in his farewell address at Focus on the Family on Friday. Dobson has been stepping away from leadership in the organization he founded since 2003. Friday was his final radio broadcast for the organization, but he plans on starting a new, independent broadcast with his son, Ryan. The new show, called Family Talk With James Dobson, will launch this spring. [usatoday.com, 2/26/10]

+1 #3 Peggy Hansford 2010-03-03 03:46 I have been listening to your broadcast FOF in my office almost every day. I have been changed for the good and prepared and reminded daily by your program what God wants me to know. It has been confirmation after confirmation to all I have been reading in the Bible, and the people living it, and walking it out and making a difference like you, are so appreciated. I pray God all over you in every way, and I am looking forward to your new show with Ryan! I have been touched, and therefore touching others! It is working! Your show is what God wants it to be! Do not stop or give up, just keep moving like you are! AND THank you! Peggy Hansford! PS 61 to the maX. Quote

0 #2 ericknac 2010-03-02 20:38 Having started out wonderfully, sadly I think Dr. Dobson has gotten a little off track the last few years actually. Conservative Rebublican does not equal kingdom of God. I think many of us have forgotten that Christianity over took the Roman Empire one changed life at a time. Not by some "confront the government campaign."

China is now by all estimates 10% Christian. How did this happen? One changed life at a time. Pastors and believers were jailed for various crimes against the State…but most charges were totally unfounded. They never fought the system…they preached the Good News of Christ.

All over the world the story is the same. Let's keep the main thing the main thing.
